Disclaimer and how we compare

Draft – pending lawyer review. This page is a working draft and is not final. Last updated 27 Oct 2026.

Effective $/mth is our estimate, not the provider's price

The big "Effective $/mth" number on each plan is FibreRadar's own estimate. It is not the price the provider advertises or charges. It's the whole bill over the contract, split by month. Promos count, perks don't. So it can be lower or higher than the price on the provider's own page.

Next to it we show what the provider itself advertises, for example "eight advertises $0.80/mth for the first month, then $26.80/mth". We copy that from the provider's plan page on the date shown. If we don't have it, we say "See the provider's site for its price" instead of guessing.

Always check the final price on the provider's site before you buy. The provider's own price and terms are the ones that count.

How we calculate effective $/mth

Effective $/mth = total bill over the contract ÷ months, with promos counted and perks left out. The total is (promo price × promo months) + (regular price × remaining months) + any one-off fees the provider states. Perks such as vouchers or routers are listed but never deducted.

No contract: shown over 24 months for comparison. Plans without a contract are billed monthly and can be cancelled; we count 24 months of the monthly price plus one-off fees so they can sit beside 24-month plans. Their "Save $X" uses only other no-contract plans.

"Save vs median"

"Save $X" compares a plan's price per month with the median of eligible plans at the same speed and contract length on this site, on the date shown. It is not a saving against your current bill or against any one provider. Plans with limited eligibility and gadget bundle plans (where the price includes a console, PC, graphics card or similar) are left out of the median and have no "Save $X".

"Best pick" and rankings

Rankings sort by our price-per-month calculation, and "best pick by how you use the internet" uses the scoring explained on the page. They reflect our method, not a guarantee that a plan is best for you. Paid placement never changes the order.

Accuracy and dates

Each price shows the date we last checked it on the provider's site. We may make mistakes, and providers may change offers without notice. If you spot an error, use "Report wrong price" on the plan.

How we rank and earn

We gather plan details from each provider's own website and public sources, and compare them in one place. Paid placement never changes the ranking. If a link ever earns us a referral fee, we will label that link and say so here. [Current referral arrangements to be confirmed.]

Trademarks

All provider, plan and product names belong to their owners and are used only to identify the plans compared.
